Hello from Lamb & Duckling classes!  

As most parents are aware, we are now using Seesaw on a daily basis to share with you all of your child's learning opportunities in school.

Most of our updates will be posted on Seesaw.

15.10.21 This week we started our 'story of the week', where we look at the same story each day, finding out different things each day.  This week we looked at 'The Gruffalo'.

Today we have used a story map to retell the story ourselves.  Have a look at the story map and see if you can use it to retell the story at home!  How did the mouse describe the Gruffalo? What did the fox want to do? What happened at the end? 

Have fun talking about the story together at home.

  24.09.21 We had just finished our first week full time in school and what a busy time we have had!  This week we have enjoyed playing in Lamb & Duckling classes, being outside on the bikes, exploring the Forest School, being witches and wizards in PE and learning some French with Madame Wilson.  We have also learnt our first 2 phonemes and are enjoying our daily phonic sessions. 

Today we took a couple of pictures as we all worked together to sort out the 's' and 'a' objects. Look at how clever we are!

Mrs Gibbon, Mrs Kimmins & Mrs Tainton have really enjoyed meeting all of you over the last 2 days.  It was great to meet you and to be able to show you our EYFS classrooms and explain how the children will be able to play in both rooms.

We were really pleased and pleasantly surprised with how well the children came in today.  They knew where to put all of their things and where to go.  We all enjoyed a super day together. We also got to meet Wizzy, which was a real treat for all of us!
