Well done Emily for achieving your dolphin spelling challenge certificate!

We have been busy cooking this week and even got to try what we tasted. We thought the food we made was delicious πŸ˜‹

Look how hard we are all working on our animal spelling challenges πŸ‘€

We invited Mr Hobbs in this afternoon so we could tell him everything we have learnt about the Somerset Levels. He was very impressed with our knowledge and is looking forward to our leaflets!

We had a fantastic afternoon experiencing everything Jewish 😁

Congratulations on your spelling certificates this week 😁

Today we took our learning outside and found out about dredging in a really practical way! We had lots of fun!

A huge congratulations to Keira and Caleb for being the first children in Hedgehog class to gain your pen licences. A super achievement!

We had great fun finding the two main rivers that run through the Somerset Levels. We used maps and wool and had gluey fingers by the end!

We kick started our Willows and Wetlands topic today with some great discussion!

We will remember them...

We are all working really hard on our animal spelling challenges!

Even more animal challenge certificates today! Wow! Well done everyone!

We are so proud of our wonderful published poems. Please take a look πŸ‘€

Forest school children made beautiful friendship bracelets today 🌿

A huge congratulations to all of these children who have already had certificates for their animal challenge spellings!

We had lots of fun doing the global mile today. The children decided to run, joy or walk for 15 minutes around a course and took part in a whole school β€˜actiblast’. Great effort by all!

Super teamwork today to use thesauruses to find some really interesting words. Well done Hedgehogs!

We are going to run the global mile on Friday.

Your child may have come home with a letter about cross country at Brymore Academy. This is a voluntary event and the children received a letter if they wanted one. If your child has changed their mind and would like to participate in the event next week then please collect one from the notice board outside the classroom.

Practical maths today using dienes to order numbers! Great team work everyone!

Star of the week ⭐️ Congratulations Chloe!

Our class representatives! Well done!

Buddy reading with Leopard class.

Meeting our buddy class and sharing our love of reading.

For our first week in Hedgehog Class, we discussed what it means to make a mistake. We questioned if mistakes are good. Could something beautiful come from a mistake? We then tested this theory out after listening to the 'Beautiful Oops!' and 'the dot'. We took paper with holes and rips in it to see what we could create. Some paper had folded corners. We got creative and chose a variety of mediums to turn our 'mistakes' into something wonderful... Mistakes show we are learning

We all had such a great first week and we are super excited to continue our year 3 journey!
