As a parent or carer at our school, you are already a valued member of our PTFA (Parent, Teacher & Friends Association). The PTFA is an important part of school life and helps to enrich the overall school experience, both for the children and their families.

Our primary purpose is to fundraise and the following objectives, which underpin our written Constitution, lie at the heart of all that we do:

To advance the education of pupils in the school, in particular by;

(i) Developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school.

(ii) Engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.

This essentially means that we try to provide fun, family friendly events which enable us to raise valuable funds which are then spent in a considered way, often with input from the school, parents/carers and children, as appropriate. In the past, PTFA funding has secured valuable resources and teaching aids, such as iPads and “Shut the Box” mathematics games, as well as contributing towards class school trips or whole school visits, including the Christmas Pantomime.

The PTFA is a fast way to get to know other parents and school staff. Feeling part of a community is a very real human need and more practically, these friendships create a support network which can greatly assist whilst your children are at our school. There is no strict commitment of time and you don’t need to attend every meeting. We welcome the opportunity to hear a variety of opinions and perspectives; every voice matters and we love to see new faces.

Without volunteers we are unable to run events for our school community. We value any donation of time and small jobs like helping to sort uniform, labelling tombola items or running a stall, all help to keep our events running smoothly. How much or how little you choose to get involved is up to you, but please do consider getting in touch.

Our Committee

Each September, the PTFA holds an AGM (Annual General Meeting) at which our Parent Committee is elected. Our current Committee, elected in September 2025, is as follows:
