In year 3 there are two separate spelling lists. Your child will know if they are doing the group spellings or the class spellings so please ask them. The children will be tested on the Friday.
Please check your child knows what the word means as well as practising the spellings.

How did my child get on with their spelling test?
Each week, your child will highlight any words they didn’t spell correctly on the activity sheet in their spelling log.
Please continue to practise these words at home and tick them when your child can spell them correctly.

Animal spellings: Alongside the weekly spellings, your child will have the animal challenges. These spellings will be tested when your child feels they are ready. There is a sign in the classroom where they can write their name to let an adult know they would like to be tested.
Please find your child's username and password in their spelling logs or on the letter sent home 07.01.22
Each week a different multiplication or division fact will be set for you child to practise at home, please ensure they are playing on 'garage' to practise the correct fact. The purpose of TTRS is to increase your child's rapid recall of these facts. Please try to practise these often. All children have logged on to the website in class and should be able to access it at home. Please do let me know if there is a problem and the letter does not answer your question.
The children do not need to bring anything in from home as all their results are recorded electronically.
Number challenges:
Your child will be tested every Thursday on their current number challenge. They have the option to take these home and practise them for the following Thursday if they would like. There is no expectation to hand these in for an adult to see in class.
If the children pass their number challenge on the Thursday they will be celebrated in class and have their picture put on the website to show their families at home.
