This week is all about you!

You will be completing activities that you can either write or type up for your new teacher.

Remember, that this will be the first piece of work that they will see from you, so show how amazing - I know - you are by adding detail and completing this in your best handwriting.

I would like you to reflect on Year 5 and fill in your memories. These can include being in school, school trips, playtimes and being in lockdown.

Please go to:

  • the work file on Purple Mash - Kestrel
  • Or, This week's learning

  •  you will find a word document on School Year Memory Write Up

  •  Please use detail and description and, if you would like a challenge, include all of the year 5 grammar and punctuation that we have looked at.

  •  Please save this onto your computer/take a photo of it and email to me.

  • Please print this off and keep it safe for September when you meet your new teacher.

My ideal job

Think about what job you want to do when you are older.  This is not always easy to know at your age but have a go.  When you have chosen, research what you need to do to get this job e.g. qualifications, work experience.  Then, think about what skills you need e.g. to be a vet you need to be caring, good with people and animals, etc. Finally draw a picture of yourself doing this job.

It may be worth writing out your answers in rough first before copying them up.

  • How many pets you have
  • What you like doing best at weekends

Think about how you could best present your work.

Please take a photo of your work and email it me.
