Can you practice doing your coat up all by yourself, just like Wizzy? Remember, even if you can't do it to start with, if you keep practicing, you will get there in the end!

27.11.20 Wizzy wants to tell you about this week's homework. The list of words to try is below the video

Can you try reading some CVC (consonant, vowel, consonant) words with your child like Wizzy. The children are used to seeing and using sound buttons which they can press as they say each sound. CVC words are 'phonically decodable', so they are a great place to start with reading. You can try the words below or you can try your own words using any of the letters we have learnt so far, just make sure there is a vowel in the middle.
mat met pig dog bus
had pen dig not bun
bag leg bin pot run

20.11.20 You can find the Tricky word song here, or search on You Tube for the 'Tricky word song'.

Have fun learning it!

13.11.20 Wizzy wants to tell you about this week's homework, it's all about 'subitising'!

Parents: One of the skills children need to competent in by the end of Foundation, is the skill of subitising, which means able to recognise quantities without counting (up to 5). This means looking at small groups of objects and telling you how many they can see. They can then count them to check! Have fun using objects from around your home!

06.11.20  Have you watched Wizzy this week?  He is singing some of the songs the children have been learning. We have been enjoying singing lots of songs to help us learn our sounds in phonics.  The children all like singing and signing along with the songs.  Here is the link for you to enjoy together at home...
