This week in Foundation French we celebrated Caleb's birthday (Bon anniversaire!) and wished each other a happy and healthy New Year (Bonne année! Bonne santé).
We also talked about the French tradition of the Cake of the Kings and played a quick game which decided who our Kings and Queens would be! The lucky winners were Aubrey, Jake and Kyle!

In the game the youngest person in the family gets sent under the table and shouts out the order in which the slices of cake are given out. This guarantees fairness! The person who finds the small figurine in their slice of cake gets to wear the crown - all down to luck!
