Everyone showed a great attitude throughout and a responsible manner. Well done to everyone involved!

The year 6 cohort learnt 2 songs to sing at the Remembrance Service in North Petherton Church. We chose 'Pack up your troubles' and 'It's a long way to Tipperary' to pay our respects to the men and women who lost their lives in the war. Please see below to watch a video of our performance.

As a class we came up with this exciting free verse poem. We researched about the Leopard and found lots of interesting facts out about this amazing animal.

We hope you enjoy our poem.

Leopard class poem

In the shadows of the forest a creature stands with unbreakable pride and bedrock teeth. The fearless feline hides amongst the trees waiting for its prey.

The sleek, muscular predator prowls the humid night, leaping from branch to branch. Lurking in the murky shadow, poised, watching, blink and you would have missed it.

Savage instincts kick in as the prey tries to wriggle away from the razor-sharp jaws of death. No escape, that’s the hunter’s code.

Carefully, the deadly, camouflaged killer waits for their time to strike as the sun closes its eyes and the moon encapsulates the dusky horizon.
