The Frog Team.
Hope you had a great half term. What a fantastic first day back! We loved all the superhero costumes. A big thank you for all the effort you put into making the costumes.
We started our day telling everyone about our superpowers. We then spent the rest of the day completing lots of super activities. We cracked the secret code with our Maths knowledge, we wrote a superhero story, we designed a superhero and we made superhero masks! Well done fantastic frogs, a super start to our topic!
Hopefully your child has brought their homework home including a small note about our first day back after half term. We are having a superhero day to kick off our new topic. We would love the children to dress up as a superhero , being creative about the name of their superhero and their costume. Prizes will be awarded for the most imaginative hero!
Get creating! We look forward to seeing you on the 19th of February. Enjoy your half term break!
Mrs Casson and Mrs Mongaré.
We started our topic on India this week.
We worked together to research and find facts about Indian transport and clothes. We wrote non - chronological reports to present our information.
We have been busy this week. In English we have been writing postcards describing our trip to the moon. For our topic work we have been learning about Neil Armstrong. We watched the moon landing and Mrs Preston-Evans told us about how she went to America to watch the last night launch. We designed our own rockets and we will be making them next week. Please don't forget to bring in any used plastic bottles.
In Maths we have been recognising and sorting 2D and 3D shapes. We have also been playing 'number bond alley'. Why not have a game at home!!
Hope you have had a fantastic summer!
The first week is nearly over and we have been busy!
Our topic this term is Explorers, and we will be reading the book "The Man on the Moon".
Pop in and see our shiny moons and galactic spaceships we have made to decorate our reading corner.
