Important information

Please could all children bring a pair of trainers or a spare pair of socks to school tomorrow. We will be outside for PE and the grass can be wet first thing in the morning.

It would be helpful if trainers could be left in school in case of additional sports day practise.

Thank you.

WELL DONE!

We have been so impressed with the effort and concentration the children have shown with their work this week. They have been completing some extra tasks for us and they have done us proud.

We asked them to show us their best and they could not have done anymore!

They have been doing work around the story of Jack and bean stalk, making wanted posters to find that naughty Jack, planting and observing their own bean stalks and much, much more.

Well done Foxes.

You’re all incredible!

Mrs Casson and Mrs Mongaré.

Today we said goodbye and good luck to Miss Conlon as she continues her adventure in a new direction. We know she will be amazing in her new role and we wish her all the best.

Our topic this half term is India. Last week we spent some time thinking about the questions we would like to ask the children at a link school in India about their lives. We thought of some brilliant questions as groups and shared them with the rest of the class. Well done Foxes. Brilliant collaboration!

Who? What? Where? When? How? Why?

Well done to all the super spellers and magical mathematicians who have moved on to the next challenge this week. You’re all amazing!

Welcome back!

We hope you had a peaceful and fun filled Christmas holiday. It has been great to welcome you all back to Fox class, ready and raring to go!

Last week we enjoyed a poetry and art week, researching and thinking about different insects and mini beasts before writing and illustrating our own poems.

Our class book is full of fantastic poetry as well as beautiful drawings and paintings.

Brusho quickly became a class favourite. Take a look at the magic in action in a selection of photos below.

Hello!

Thank you for all your kind wishes. I am so glad to be back in Fox class. Mr Moor and Miss Conlon have taken good care of the class in my absence and all of the children have continued to work hard.

The children have been busy today writing a story about Olaf and Sven, using lots of new skills they have learnt over the past few weeks.

We are looking forward to preparing for the Christmas concert and our various events this term.

Keep an eye on our class page for updates and photos of what we are up to. We look forward to sharing it all with you.

Mrs Casson.

Fox class enjoyed writing and testing algorithms for the bee bots yesterday.

Thank you for visiting our class today to see the wonderful project work completed over the half term holiday. The children were all excited to share their hard work and we are so proud of them all.

We designed and made our own bottle rockets before testing them outside.

We've been designing, cutting, decorating, sticking, snipping, covering and soon we'll be launching. Well done 🦊 class. Your rockets are brilliant!

We loved meeting our buddy class. Thank you for your time and biscuits Kingfisher Class!

Thank you for coming along to meet the teacher last week. I hope it was a helpful session.

If you were unable to make it or have any questions regarding our timetable please come and see me. I can provide you with a copy of the power point from the session.

We hope your children have enjoyed their first week in year 2.

We have certainly enjoyed getting to know them all.

Our topic this term is Explorers. We have just begun to look at a new book - Man on the Moon.

It is all about Bob the moon caretaker who is blissfully unaware of the aliens that are all around him.

PE is on Tuesday so make sure your child has their kit.

All other important information will be communicated to you at our

'Meet the teacher' session on Wednesday 13th September at 2.45pm.

We hope you can make it!
